I say again because as I typed that it gave me the option to scroll down and use it, so I suppose I must have said that somewhere before.
Fairly quiet day so far, just HOT HOT HOT. We went a sprayed a different group of kids today at a school, which is always fun, but they were on a parking lot so it was pretty warm, even at 0900. We finished up a little before 1100 and went back to the station. I had a friend swing by and we had a nice visit for a bit, then we caught a run and it was time for him to head out anyway.
Our call was to a local gas station for a smell of gas (I know what you are thinking but they meant natural gas). Seeing as how the only thing that ran on natural gas was the HVAC unit we put the big ladder up and climbed on the roof. It was a metal roof and pretty hot, but the HVAC unit was no hotter than anything else up there, so we came back down. We never did find the smell, but we are thinking it was probably sewer gas, as they smell similar. None of our equipment showed anything to worry about, but we had them call the gas company to check it out.
We are finally relaxing after dinner and trying to cool down. Hope you guys are enjoying your summer. I know we could use some rain here, the grass at home crunches when I walk on it and I'm afraid to mow for fear of starting a grass fire!

I'm guessing a bogus run is better than no runs at all, right??? Sounds like your weather is a lot like ours. Just HOT and DRY. We're hoping for some rain this weekend. We'll see what happens. Currently it's 8:02 pm here and still 94 degrees. I'm tired of the heat. Ready for a break. Talk to you soon.....
Until today, I could sympathize with the heat, however, tropical storm what's-his-face dropped quite a bit of rain on us this afternoon, and cooled us off nicely. I believe the car said 82 on my way home. The last week or so it has said 112 or so when I turn it on in the afternoon!! Talk to you later! Love ya! :)

We keep getting rain, but it is so sudden and violent that it is of little use other than to cool things off a bit for a short time.
As you might have seen in my last BLOG, we also get lots of lightning and wind with the storms. On Sunday afternoon I went to an Eagle cerimony two blocks away and the power was still out.
We also had trees down and lots of lightning damage. I am ready for a nice cool ice storm...
