Escalation

So last time I posted a picture of me with my head shaved. I couldn't leave well enough alone, so that night at the station I went ahead and took a razor to it and went on down to the skin. If you've never done this before, it was pretty dang weird feeling! My head was pretty sensitive too. I did it again last night (since some of the guys I work with were off last shift and didn't get to see it) and it wasn't nearly as tender. It's also pretty amazing how fast the hair on your head grows.

Of course, any idea this cool is bound to have imitators.

They're just pretenders, of course. I think I was the only one of us who took it all the way down to the skin. April is not a fan, so I'll be growing it out. I kinda liked having it shaved, but I could probably do with it being a little longer. Luckily they allowed us to finally wear 'watch caps' at work, so my little bald head stayed warm today.

On another note, we got our tree put up too. We had a system, I picked up the tree and got it put on the base, then got the stuff down out of the attic. April handled the lights and decorations. I like our system.

Anyhow, that's about it for now. Talk to ya'll later.

WOW....I can't believe you did that!!! It's even shorter than your dad's!!! I understand you have to shave it almost as often as you shave your face if you want to keep it like that. I've also heard that you have to wax your head to make it shiny!!!????

The tree looks great. All I can say for your system is "If you and April are good with it, then it's a good system"....

Keep warm!!

Love ya!!

I must have missed something... Why did you shave your head?? I must admit... I think I'm with April. ;) The tree looks good. April's a good wife. I made Bryan listen to Christmas music and help decorate. LoL. Love ya!!! :)

Hey Kate,

Read the blog just before this one:

Mom, you do have to shave it every day to keep it that short, but most of us only shave our faces every 3 days, and those with shaved heads mostly hit theirs every 3 days as well. As far as wax, I don't know about that, but moisturizer sure is my friend! Everyone here that shaves recommends using the stuff with the self tanner to help prevent burns haha. I think it would be a hassle to keep it this short, I'll stick to the buzzcut for now. But, once it goes away on its own a little more... who knows!

I believe the lotion you need should have SUNSCREEN and not self tanner in it..... And they are right, you don't want to burn the top of your shiny dome!!! hahaha.... Love ya!!

Thanks Chris. I'm a little slow when I don't get enough sleep, and Maddy has been making sure that's the case lately. LoL.

That close up of you is a little scary. Sort of 'Uncle Fester, the early years'. I'm not a fan of shaved heads and you just reinforced my beliefs.
Love.
