It sure was hot today! We did hose testing today, which means taking every piece of hose off the truck and running water through it to check for leaks and ruptures. We started about 9 am and didn't finish until about 1pm. It was just one of those days where nothing seemed to go right for us, and the heat sure didn't help. I know at one point it was 93 but felt like 96 according to the weather channel. We could sure use some rain here this week!
Today wound up being pretty busy for a Saturday at work, especially since our morning ran until after lunch. Even walking out into the bay was enough to make you sweat. It really was one of those days where when you go outside it feels like you are stepping in front of an oven door. I can't imagine how Bryan must feel in the desert dealing with this every day like he does.
We finally managed to sit down and cool off around 4pm, then as we were finishing the last bite of dinner the tones went off for a medical call. I had checked the temp at about 6pm and it was still 90+, so we got nice and sweaty all over again (it was an outdoor call).
I did manage to find a little time to do some shopping today with the giftcards my parents gave me for my birthday and Christmas (Katie, I got your card and (gift) card in the mail the other day, thank you very much, it was the right size and everything! =) ). I will post pictures of the stuff as it comes in (I ordered it all online). I won't spoil the surprise because pictures are way more interesting and my blog has been missing them lately.
I guess that's about it for now, it's getting very close to bedtime. I hope everyone manages to stay cool this weekend. Talk to you later.

No prob bob! I hope you enjoy it! I'm glad it fits! HaHaHa...
FYI... We're at 100+ most days here in good ole Texas. You can feel bad for Bryan now, but he's not exactly coming home to a "cool down". LoL.
Talk to you later! Love ya! :)
Maybe you can cool off with a fire run. That should feel cool compared to the local weather.
Love.
Glad you finally got to use the gift cards we got for you. Hope you enjoy all your new toys!!
Sorry it was so hot there. It's been really hot here too. We got up to 100 yesterday (Saturday) and the local TV said the average for this time of year is 84. It was a scorcher!! Our front yard has deep cracks in it because the ground is so dry and we are not allowed to water. No grass this year, but whatever.....
Keep us posted.
Love ya!!
I got caught out in the sun this week also. I had to stay inside all weekend just to recover!
I am currently slathered with skin cream to keep the peeling to a minimum. I thought the job I was going to was a quick, one-stop deal and I ended up with a full crew and a whole day!
Just call me "lobster Boy". Stay cool - hydrate...
I know Michelle sent you a gift as well. Hope you got it.
Sounds like you did well in the Birthday gift department!
We are all praying for rain. I love to read about all your adventures. Keep the blogs coming.
