Well what do you know

More pictures!

I was trying to take a little nap on the couch today when the doorbell rang. It was the UPS man and he had a box for me. I don't know if you'll remember or not, but I mentioned in another blog that I had ordered some stuff with the gift certificates my parents got me for my birthday and Christmas.

The first picture shows the big item. I couldn't really 'save it for a big reveal' because most of the other stuff is an accessory for the helmet itself. I am still waiting on the shield for the front of the helmet (it is what Grandmom and Grandpop got Uncle Tom for Christmas). I'll post a picture of it later. Since it is a custom item it takes a bit longer. I also ordered a big rubber band to hold a few things to the helmet, like the flashlight pictured below.

The rubber band and flashlight were packed in with a few small wedges, which we use to keep doors open (duh). You never want a door to accidentally close behind you because you may not be able to get it open again. There are times when you need to close a door, but generally when you go in somewhere you want to know you can get out.
The green thing on the back is another type of wedge that I ordered to replace one I lost at a small fire we had. It works in 3 ways; it can go under the door like a door stop, it can go over a hinge to hold it open, and doors that have automatic closers can be blocked open by hanging that on the closer. It's really useful.

Below is another light that I got. it is very bright and supposedly very durable (which is good, because it is expensive for a flashlight!). I have been tempting fate by not carrying a flashlight at work (I have a small one I keep in a pocket and I try to grab one of the big ones off the truck, but it is always good to have 1 or 2 good lights with you). Hopefully now I won't have to worry about it anymore since I'll have one on my helmet and another on my airpack.

I have one last picture for you... I ordered a pair of 'safety sunglasses' as well, but they are going back. I'll let you see if you can spot the reason why!

I've got to say, I have been having a hard time getting these pictures loaded up. I can get them on here, but it always wants to put them at the top of the page instead of where I want them, and getting to type next to them seems to be hit or miss for me. I have finally resorted to cutting and pasting, and that seems to work a bit better (cutting it from where it inserts it at the top and pasting it where I want it). Some of you more prolific photo uploaders will have to help me with this.

I'll be sure to post a picture of the shield when it comes in. Hope everyone has a good weekend. I am posting this blog a few days early since I'll be off Friday and gone for the weekend. Take care all.

So, you're sending the glasses back just because they came with an ugly face?? HaHaHa. Just kidding!

If you click, hold and drag the pictures after they post to the top of the blog, that works pretty well...

Love ya!! :)

I have never been able to get the photos to insert where I want them. I used to use the "cut and paste" method, but I had some big problems with that too. After a couple of photos, when I pasted a photo, somehow some of my words would get erased. So, I'm back to the "drag and drop" method as Katie suggested. I'm afraid with this product you can only import the photos to the top of the page, then drag them to your location. OK, so that's ONE problem with this site. Would you like to enumerate the problems with YAHOO?????

Hope you guys have a GREAT weekend. Be sure to get some pictures of you and April in your "duds". We would all love to see that. Please give Brandy and Jason our best wishes.
What are you doing with "Mutley" for the weekend????

Talk to you soon.

Love ya!!
