I have been keeping busy with the volunteer department, I am still in their 'rookie school' which is kind of fun. It is a nice review, but I am dying to get a radio and some turnout gear so I can start making some calls with them (that is, after all, why I joined up!)
And now, a picture for your enjoyment since I haven't posted any in a while!

Wow, that picture is huge, but thats ok. Enjoy!
Today we have April's car in the shop to get the transmission (hopefully!) fixed. We struggled with whether or not to do it, but it has gotten to a point where it just isn't drivable anymore, so we are biting the bullet and doing it. We are going with getting it rebuilt instead of putting a new one in since the plan is to fix it up to sell it and get her a new car. This one has just gotten to a point where we are constantly having to fix it, and since we still owe on it, we want to get out from under it and get something much more reliable. This is where having a little red sports car with a sun roof comes in handy; I'm sure it is some teenager's dream car, so hopefully we can unload it quick after getting it fixed.
Hey, I just realized I am working a short week again next week. I'll work Saturday, Tuesday, then we'll be going to a wedding this weekend so I'll be off Friday. Alright! Anyhow, I guess that's it for now. You guys have a great day and I'll talk to you later.

Hey Grampa' when did you retire?
Next thing you know you will be timing the mailman and eating dinner at 2:30 to get the seniors discount. LOL
Glad to hear that you chose to do a rebuild on the tranny. Patch it and trade it.
Right now you can get a pretty good deal on a car since the sales are way down.
On of the best bargains on the market right now is with Nissan. They are fighting for market share with Honda and Toyota and offer great, dependable cars at better prices.
Check it out...
Must be nice to have so much time off... HaHaHa... Just kidding! ENJOY IT!! Love ya!! :)
With a whole week off you should have come and visited me.....since I'm home alone all week (and next week too). Hope the car thing turns out OK for you guys. BTW, did you know that your readers can double-click on any photo in your blog and enlarge it if they want to see it better? Then you just hit the "back" button and you're back where you started!!! Just a tip. Still waiting on that e-mail we discussed this morning. Talk to you soon. Love ya!!
